Legal Department - Lawyer traineeship
OceanWings designs, manufactures and markets semi-rigid and rigid wingsails designed for installation on cargo ships, helping to reduce CO2 emissions by cutting fossil fuel consumption.
Job Description
As part of the Legal Department, you will work directly with the General Counsel and support the legal team on a broad range of strategic and operational matters in a fast-growing international industrial environment.
This internship offers a highly formative in-house experience for an élève-avocat completing a PPI stage, with significant exposure to business, industrial, financing and governance issues.
Your activities will include:
Contracts & Business Affairs
Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements:
NDAs
supplier and procurement agreements
service agreements
partnership agreements
Assisting on responses to RFPs and major industrial projects
Corporate & Governance
Assisting with day-to-day corporate law matters
Preparing legal documentation relating to boards and shareholders’ meetings
Maintaining corporate records and legal documentation
Compliance & Regulatory
Assisting on compliance matters, including:
ESG
GDPR/data protection
export control
internal policies and procedures
Conducting legal monitoring and regulatory research
Intellectual Property
Supporting trademark and brand protection matters
Assisting on patent-related topics and coordination with external counsels
Participating in IP strategy and contractual protection of innovation
Pre-litigation, Insurance & Risk Management
Assisting in the management of pre-litigation matters and disputes
Participating in claims analysis and legal risk assessment
General Legal Support
Assisting on office and industrial site-related legal matters
Coordinating with external law firms and advisors when required
Profile & Skills
You are an élève-avocat seeking a PPI internship as part of your training at the EFB or another French bar school
Strong interest in business law and in-house legal practice
Interest in industrial, technological and international environments
Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills
Pragmatic mindset, curiosity and strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent French and English required (written and oral)
We are looking for someone motivated, rigorous, business-oriented and eager to contribute to a meaningful industrial and environmental project.
Recruitment process includes several interviews.
Package: gross allowance of EUR 1,000/month plus meal vouchers and 50% reimbursement of public transport seasonal pass.
