Context
As part of our commercial expansion in Europe and worldwide, we are seeking an experienced Business Developer to join our team and accelerate our business activities with European shipowners and charterers. Your role will be pivotal in expanding our client portfolio and promoting our innovative solutions.
Main Missions
1. Business Development
- Identify and prospect new clients (shipowners, charterers, shipyards, and naval architecture firms) across Europe.
- Develop and maintain a network of strategic partners.
- Represent Oceanwings at industry trade shows, conferences, and events.
2. Negotiation and Client Retention
- Lead the sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing.
- Manage key accounts and ensure client satisfaction.
- Negotiate partnerships and commercial agreements in line with company objectives.
3. Market Strategy and Analysis
- Contribute to market trend analysis and client needs assessment to tailor our offerings.
- Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to refine our market positioning.
- Help define commercial objectives and associated action plans.
4. Reporting and Performance
- Rigorously track performance indicators (revenue, conversion rates, etc.).
- Regularly report progress and identified opportunities to management, agents, and colleagues in other regions via CRM and in-house software.
- Contribute to the process related to the budget and business plan
Profile & Required Skills
- Education: Engineer by training, ideally complemented by a business degree
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in business development, B2B sales, or commercial development, ideally in the maritime sector (scrubbers, engine manufacturer, air lubrication, EET, etc.), energy, or technology.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in merchant shipping for deepsea going ships, renewable energy, or decarbonization is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Pipedrive, HubSpot, etc.), comfortable with reporting
- Ability to analyze data and develop complex commercial strategies in a team environment
- Fluent English (working language)
- Soft Skills:
- Comfortable with an evolving product portfolio
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Active listener
- Autonomous, rigorous, and able to thrive in an agile, international environment
- Passion for new technologies and energy transition challenges

Conditions
- Open-ended contract as a manager: metallurgy collective agreement.
- Compensation: Competitive package including base salary + performance-based bonus Position based in Paris, frequent travel in France and abroad (Europe initially).
