Context
As part of the company’s development in the yachting sector, OceanWings is recruiting a Project Manager Yachting to lead a flagship project:
the design, manufacture, and delivery of four OW-LF folding wings for a research vessel that will sail around the world.
The role will also involve updating the design parameters, bill of materials, and budget for the serial production of OW-LF wings.
Main missions
Design and Project Management
- Lead the design and implementation of OceanWings® folding wing projects.
- Ensure compliance with quality, cost and schedule targets.
- Manage risk identification and mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate technical aspects with internal and external stakeholders.
Procurement and Budget Management
- Manage tender processes and supplier negotiations in coordination with the Purchasing Department and Design Office.
- Monitor and optimize the project budget, ensuring cost control and reporting to the VP Projects.
Product Development
- Contribute to the design and development of the folding wing product line, together with the Design Office, Purchasing and Industrial teams.
- Implement procedures to ensure industrial scalability and continuous improvement.
Profile and Skills
Education: Engineering degree or Naval Architecture background
Experience: Minimum 3 years in managing industrial product development or shipyard projects in the nautical sector
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of sailing and recreational boats
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoDesk) and project management tools (MS Project)
- Knowledge of aerodynamics and mechatronics is an asset
- Languages: Fluent English (daily professional use)
Soft skills :
Strong leadership, organization, autonomy, and communication skills; team-oriented mindset
Working Conditions
- Contract: Permanent (CDI)
- Location: Paris, with travel to the industrial site (Blainville-sur-Orne) and shipyards as required
