As part of the mechatronics team and in collaboration with OceanWings’ design engineers, you will contribute to new OceanWings® products.
Role Overview
We are seeking an intern with expertise in electronics, electrical engineering, or electrotechnics to support our team in advancing the design and implementation of mechatronic systems. You will work on diverse and impactful projects, contributing to both technical development and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will be responsible for:
Establishing Design Standards:
- Developing conventions and best practices for the design of electrical enclosures and the selection of electronic components.
- Collaborating with suppliers to ensure optimal component choices and design alignment.
Assisting with Mechatronic Systems Implementation:
- Supporting the deployment of mechatronic systems for two distinct projects: a yachting-oriented project and a commercial-focused project.
- Tasks will include:
- Testing actuator control strategies.
- Installing and calibrating sensors.
- Ensuring network architecture reliability.
- Writing detailed test reports and system documentation.
Update electrical drawings:
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics is essential.
- Skills in creating or modifying electrical plans using design tools (Schemelect or similar software) are highly appreciated.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Strong foundation in electrical system design and electronic components.
- Familiarity with actuator control, sensor systems, and network architectures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Problem-Solving Skills: An analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and propose innovative solutions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively and document findings clearly and concisely.
- Adaptability: A proactive attitude and eagerness to work on varied projects in dynamic settings.
